Lucy Rafferty Adams appointed as European Chair at World Skate

Skateboard GB’s Lucy Rafferty Adams has been selected as Chair at the World Skate Continental Skateboarding Commission for Europe, which will support national federations , guide the direction of skateboarding in the continent and influence decision-making at international level.

Her role as Chair of the Continental Skateboarding Commission is focused on co-ordinating and balancing the standards of judging, coaching and event management across Europe. Lucy will also sit on the International Skateboarding Technical Commission which will feed information and opinions from National Federations into World Skate to shape thinking around issues such as course design, equipment rules and events.

Upon her appointment Lucy Commented “As a passionate skateboarder and representative of Skateboard GB, I’m so pleased to have been appointed Chair of the European Skateboarding Technical Commission. I look forward to working with World Skate and the other Continental Chairs to support the growth of Skateboarding globally and am honoured to be part of the International Skateboarding Technical Commission”.

Lucy’s role with World Skate will start later this month and will run up until 2024, in line with the Olympic cycle. She will complete these duties alongside her role at Skateboard GB.
