Darren Pearcy announced as Team Manager for Skateboard GB
Skateboard England are happy to announce the appointment of Darren Pearcy as Team Manager for Skateboard GB.
The main aim of the role is to plan and implement the smooth and effective delivery of the UK Sport Aspiration Fund award, through supporting Skateboard GB team activities to ensure that skateboarders have the best opportunity of qualifying for the 2020 Olympic Games, including the management the implementation of the GB skateboarding team competitions and events.
Darren holds over 10 years’ experience within the skateboarding industry. During his time at Rollersnakes, he’s mentored some of the UK’s finest skateboarders as well building a significant understanding of strategic organisational planning and execution.
Lucy Adams, chair of Skateboard GB said “We’re delighted to make this announcement today. Darren brings a wealth of experience and will be a great asset to the Skateboard GB on the lead up to the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020.”
Darren commented on his recent appointment “I am thrilled to be joining the Skateboard GB team in this new position. The role presents a unique opportunity to support and develop UK skateboarding, whilst helping to inspire future generations. My immediate focus will be to support the GB skateboard team on their Olympic qualification journey, a venture I am extremely excited about”.
