Are you passionate about skateboarding and want to support British skateboarders qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games?

We are looking for a GB Skateboarding Team Manager to join our team. Skateboard GB has a unique and exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to join to a small, friendly team, working on supporting skateboarding.

The main aim of the role is to plan and implement the smooth and effective delivery of the UK Sport Aspiration Fund award in supporting GB skateboarders to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games and deliver against the Skateboard GB Social Impact plan.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for and understanding of skateboarding with proven experience of working within the high performance environment, and sports development pathways. 


You will have highly developed managerial and administration skills, including strategic planning, problem solving and decision making, budgetary control and report writing.

The role involves developing an implementation plan for Skateboard GB team activities to ensure that skateboarders have the best opportunity of qualifying for the 2020 Olympic Games, including the management the implementation of the GB skateboarding team competitions and events.

You will also oversee and be responsible for the organisation of travel, accommodation, transportation, facilities and entry for all GB skateboarding team tours and competitions, ensuring cost effective options to ensure that expenditure remains within budget.

In addition to the focus on the 2020 Olympic Games, as we start planning for the future, you will support Skateboard GB and the home nation governing bodies in establishing a Talent Pathway and Performance Programme for skateboarding in the UK.

You must be able to work on own initiative, have excellent organisational & planning skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a diverse audience.

This is a home-based role with some national and international travel. A full driving license is essential.

Initially this full time position is fixed until 30th September 2020, with the possibility of a permanent role dependent on the success of the project.
