Digital Content Executive
GENERAL INFORMATION
Skateboard GB (SBGB) is the UK-wide governing body for skateboarding with responsibility for Olympic and the world class performance program (WCP), in addition to grassroots skateboarding and talent within England.

SBGB exists to give skateboarders the opportunity to “Skate More, Skate Better” ensuring we are skater-focused in everything that we do; we aim to lead, support, empower and facilitate.
ROLE: Digital Content Executive
To support Skateboard GB to deliver high-quality content and communications, and to support the developments in digital transformation. This person will work to assist in the generation of high-quality content assets, as well as the management of Skateboard GB’s social media channels.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Developing Skateboard GB social media accounts and increasing brand awareness and engagement
· Gathering, creating, curating and posting relevant content to Skateboard GB social and web channels and engaging the community.
· Support creation of campaign ideas.
· Developing and integrating content marketing strategies
· Researching topics and writing posts.
· Creating video content
· Responding to comments on behalf of Skateboard GB.
· Be able to provide social media and web analytic campaign reports
· Monitor Skateboard GB social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter.
· Analyse activity to gauge the success of engagement and campaigns.
· Provide suggestions for improving customer experience on social platforms and internal processes.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Essential Selection Criteria
· Experience, passion and understanding of skateboarding
· A background and relevant experience in digital / communications / content generation.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including social media and report writing.
· Understanding and experience of the working with or developing digital platforms to enhance efficiency of systems and processes.
· Able to research and generate high quality content assets to tight deadlines and across a variety of different media.
· Understanding of current and emerging communications channels, digital channels and their potential impact on the organisation and its participants.
· Ability to work on one’s own initiative and co- operatively with colleagues under limited supervision.
· A desire to play an active part in the development of skateboarding and of Skateboard GB.
· The nature of the post is such that it will involve attendance outside normal core hours at weekends or evenings, attendance at events and meetings away from the office and thus requires a current driving licence and use of a car.
Desirable Selection Criteria
· Experience of promotional activity, including video editing, and basic graphics.
· Experience in the implementation of a long-term, detailed communications framework.
· A sensitivity to the communications needs of members, partners and stakeholders within a sporting organisation and the requirements to improve profile and increase income
· Adaptable approach and good problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure and respond sensibly to the unexpected

REPORT TO: Head of Engagement
BASE: Working from Home, with National Travel
REQUIREMENTS: Full clean UK driving licence and own vehicle (a mileage allowance will be paid)
CONTRACT: 3 days a week
START DATE: June 2021
TENURE: 12 months
PACKAGE:
SALARY: £15,000
BENEFITS: Pension contributions, allowable expenses.
HOLIDAYS: 15 days per year plus statutory days.
